Awards Program

Legacy Award & Catalyst Award

The Texas Association of Convention and Visitor Bureaus Board of Directors is reinstating the Legacy Award and introducing a new award, the Catalyst Award

The goal of the TACVB Awards Program is to develop an all-encompassing and enduring awards system that will recognize individuals who have committed their careers to the improvement, growth and professionalism of TACVB and the travel industry.

Award nominations will be accepted through June 30, 2017.  See below on how to nominate a deserving individual.

Legacy Award

The TACVB Legacy Award will be presented to an individual who has built the foundation of our association and left an enduring legacy. The recipient demonstrates the following attributes:

  • Leaders who have the vision required to see what the future could be, and who put in place the education, professional examples and plans for that future for our industry.
  • Leaders who are models of inspiration for all professionals in the travel and tourism industry, and through their creativity and ingenuity, continue to guide our future direction.
  • Leaders who have used their influence and the power of their knowledge to create the foundation of professionalism that is exemplified in TACVB.

The vision, the inspiration, and the leadership of these individuals, coupled with the unique and distinct perspective that each person exemplifies in their personal and professional lives, proves they are leaders who have provided a legacy that will never be matched, only complemented.
