The 2019 Sales Symposium is a short, hyper-focused event designed to deliver current, relevant, experiential knowledge and skills to DMO Sales and Servicing professionals. The Sales Symposium will feature a hands-on skills lab, a general session, several breakout sessions, and a tabletop vendor expo.

Sales Symposium (non-member rate) = $325

FEBRUARY 13, 2019

As an added value to the Sales Symposium, TACVB is also offering a Sales Blitz. The Blitz is available to current TxMET subscribers only and offered for an additional registration and will be held immediately following the Sales Symposium on February 13, 2019. Refund policy: A 100% refund will be given if registration for either event is cancelled prior to December 31.  A 50% refund will be given if registration is cancelled prior to January 28. Sales Symposium Schedule

Monday, February 11

9:00 AM - 11:30 am:: TACVB Board of directors Meeting
Noon - 5:30 pM:: Registration
1:00 PM - 3:00 pm:: TxMET skills lab

Derek Mogar, with Tempest, will lead the group through the inner-workings of the new and improved TxMET and answer any questions current or prospective users may have.  Be sure to bring your laptop or tablet for this hands-on session.

3:00 PM - 3:30 pm:: Refreshment break
3:30 PM - 5:30 PM:: vendor tabletop expo setup
3:30 PM - 5:30 PM:: don't over promise skills lab

This active session is designed to help a sales person learn what goes into making the event happen.  Teams of attendees will be tasked to set a banquet table to the hotel's specifications, set a classroom table, etc., all so you can experience what goes into setting up for an event.  Be sure to dress in clothes you can move around in.

Each year, at Annual Conference, attendees vote for winners in TACVB's Idea Fair.  This year we are giving those folks more time to shine.  In this session representatives from 3 Texas destinations will share a case-study on their winning project - Beaumont's 2018 Sports Promotion project, Tyler's 2018 Convention Promotion project, and Denton's Horse Country Tour.  Come and learn how these destinations developed their project, and, as they say, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery...
