Speaker Bio-Jessica Brown

Jessica Brown

Native Houstonian Jessica Brown recently said “Yes, and…” to her dreams, leaving her nearly 20-year career in destination marketing to focus on improvisational comedy and her own communication consulting business based on the concepts of improvisation.

As Director and Co-Owner of Phase 3 Comedy LLC, Jessica oversees marketing for Houston’s Station Theater and produces the Trill Comedy Festival. She serves as an improv instructor and coach, encouraging students to listen actively, always be in the moment, and to play to the height of their intelligence. She brings these same ideals to businesses through Station’s applied improvisation corporate training and teambuilding program. Clients have included GE Oil & Gas, David Weekley Homes, United Airlines, Willis Towers Watson, Visit Sugar Land, and more.

Jessica completed the training program at ComedySportz Houston in 2009 and The New Movement in 2010. She has continued her improv and sketch comedy education with inspirations from Kids in the Hall, iO Chicago, Annoyance Theater, Huge Theater, The New Movement and more.

Jess toured nationally with TNM’s Tourceratops in 2012 and has performed at the Chicago Improv Festival, Trill Comedy Festival, Houston Improv Festival, Improv Wins, Megaphone Marathons and Houston Fringe Festival. She is a regular performer at Station Theater with troupes No More Words – Silent Improv, Old Enough to Know Better, Trek Wars, This Infinite Closet, Unwilling Voyeur, Bras Before Bros, and Chalk Dust. She serves as Producer and Director of Marketing for the Houston Improv Festival and BeachProv Women’s Improv Retreat. She has recorded two audio books and several radio commercials for Texas destinations.
